We are looking for an experienced PCB Layout Engineer to design and develop complex, high-reliability, and manufacturable PCBs for cutting-edge IoT, industrial automation, and consumer electronics applications.
You will work on multi-layer, high-speed, mixed-signal, and RF PCB designs, ensuring best-in-class signal integrity, power integrity, and manufacturability. This is an exciting opportunity for engineers who thrive in high-precision PCB design and layout optimization.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Advanced PCB Design & Layout
- Design high-performance, multi-layer PCBs with controlled impedance, high-speed signal routing, and power optimization. 
- Develop rigorous PCB layouts using Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad, or Cadence Allegro. 
- Implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Testability (DFT), and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. 
- Ensure compliance with IPC Class 2 & 3 standards for reliability and manufacturability. 
High-Speed & RF PCB Design
- Work on high-speed digital designs (DDR, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, MIPI, etc.) ensuring signal integrity. 
- Design RF layouts for wireless communication (BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa, 5G, GNSS, UWB, etc.). 
- Utilize controlled impedance routing, differential pair design, and RF shielding techniques. 
Simulation & Design Validation
- Perform signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analysis using HyperLynx, Ansys, or ADS. 
- Validate PCB stack-up designs for thermal dissipation, EMI/EMC compliance, and mechanical constraints. 
- Optimize designs to minimize parasitics, crosstalk, and power distribution network (PDN) issues. 
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with hardware engineers to interpret schematics and ensure robust PCB layouts. 
- Coordinate with fabrication and assembly vendors to optimize PCB designs for cost-effective production. 
- Ensure BOM optimization, material selection, and compliance with industry regulations. 
Documentation & Process Improvement
- Maintain detailed design documentation, revision histories, and design rules checklists. 
- Improve PCB design workflows, automation, and component library management. 
- Stay updated with emerging PCB technologies, new materials, and industry trends. 
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related fields. 
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in PCB layout and design. 
- Proven expertise in multi-layer, high-speed, and RF PCB design. 
Technical Skills Required
PCB Design & Tools
- Expertise in PCB design software: Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad, Eagle, or Cadence Allegro. 
- Experience with high-density interconnect (HDI) PCBs, blind & buried vias, and flex-rigid PCB designs. 
- Schematic capture and PCB layout expertise for embedded, analog, and power electronics designs. 
High-Speed & RF PCB Design
- Differential pair routing, impedance matching, and PCB stack-up optimization. 
- RF PCB layout techniques including ground plane isolation, shielding, and transmission line design. 
- Familiarity with antenna design considerations, EMI filtering, and thermal management. 
Simulation & Validation
- Knowledge of SI/PI analysis tools (HyperLynx, Ansys, ADS, or similar). 
- Experience with SPICE simulations for analog circuit validation. 
- Hands-on with Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers for design validation. 
Manufacturing & Compliance
- Knowledge of PCB fabrication processes, material selection, and soldering techniques. 
- Familiarity with IPC standards, EMC/EMI compliance, and PCB reliability testing. 
- Experience working with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors to optimize designs for cost and efficiency. 
Preferred (Bonus) Skills
✅ Experience in automotive-grade PCB designs (ISO 26262, AEC-Q100 standards).
✅ Exposure to MIL-STD, IPC-6012, and medical device PCB standards.
✅ Understanding of PCB thermal simulation tools like FloTHERM or Icepak.
